If I were building my house, the energy source that I would want to use to build it would be solar energy. First of all, solar energy is renewable. The sun will keep on shining away, so it makes sense to use it. Just the tiny fraction of the Sun's energy that hits the Earth (around a hundredth of a millionth of a percent) is enough to meet all our power needs many times over.In fact, every minute, enough energy arrives at the Earth to meet our demands for a whole year! Another great thing about solar energy is that it's free, and needs no fuel and causes no waste or pollution.
Passive solar energy for homes makes the best use of the sun, the wind, the construction material and the site to ensure a house is as comfortable as possible inside all year round. A disadvantage of using solar energy though would be that it will not work at night. However, it will never run out during the day as long as the sun keeps rising, and that is why I would use solar energy when building my home.
